For the 2021 release of Morgan Silver Dollar and Peace Silver Dollar commemorative coins, the United States Mint offered a total of six coins in all. The release featured five 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins and one 2021 Peace Silver Dollar Coin. The Morgan Dollars were struck by the Philadelphia Mint, San Francisco Mint, and the Denver Mint. These issues represented the original mints that issued the coins from 1878 to 1904.
The Morgan Silver Dollar release also included two 2021 Morgans from the Philadelphia Mint that offered commemorative privy marks. These included coins with an O privy mark and a CC privy mark. These honored the now-closed New Orleans Mint and Carson City Mint that originally issued Morgans. Each 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar in this set features an effigy of Lady Liberty in left-profile relief on its obverse. The reverse of the coins include a depiction of the heraldic eagle of the United States. Both designs come from George T. Morgan.
The 2021 Peace Silver Dollars are available with a new depiction of Liberty on the obverse. Also a left-profile portrait, in this design, Liberty appears with a large, spiked crown on her head. The reverse of the coins features an image of the American bald eagle perched on a rock ledge with its wings at its side as rays of sunshine rise on the horizon.
