The iridium price per oz has sat well above gold in recent years. Iridium is recovered only as a by-product of platinum mining, so supply cannot rise to meet demand, and the cost of iridium is set on refiner quotes rather than an exchange. Are There Iridium Coins?

Effectively no. Iridium melts at 2,466°C and is too brittle to strike, so no mint issues an iridium bullion coin. It is bought as metal instead — an iridium bar, ingot or sealed piece.
